The ipad doesnt multitask, what does it do?

ipad

Anyone else heard that the new Ipad wont do multitasking? Ie its not going to let you do more than 1 thing at a time! Now i know this things main purpose is supposed a quick tool to run some small apps but even so its always nice to be able to run a few things in the background while you are working on something.

Still who am i to criticise? I mean i remember the flame wars that went on when people really didn’t get the Ipod either at the start, and how well did it do? Still i don’t really understand the purpose of the Ipad, who is it really for? Its too big to fit in your average handbag so you can count most chicks out and it don’t think my friends would take me seriously if i turned up to the pub and started playing with this “dinner plate”.

Web hosting going mainstream?

I keep seeing more and more ads for web-hosting in the mainstream media. I know that the margins that most of these companies make as far as revenue per signup is pretty huge but i still think that over 90% of people who see these ads have no idea what web hosting even is? I could be wrong but its just a thought, have a look at some of hostgators huge boards here:

Pretty funny/weird stuff ehh? Still i suppose godaddy have been doing it for years and everyone else is jumping onto the bandwagon. I wonder if they are using the coupon codes on these big billboards to track how many signups they actually get. I would love to know the numbers, id say it can be very hit and miss!

All you can eat hosting?

Has anyone else noticed the big rise in so called “all you can eat hosting”. Ive only started to see it more in the last few years as it used to be only the preserver of big business accounts, but recently i have seen unlimited accounts for as low as $5 a month! Im sure there are lots of “catches” and to make it unlikely you are going to land them with 100gb of transfer but still! Anyone tried any of these accounts out yet? Any success?
